Support student success as a full time Academic Interventionist at St. Francis of Assisi Junior/Senior High School in Slave Lake, Alberta. Focus on literacy, numeracy, and student wellness from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
This role emphasizes collaboration and building positive learning environments across two community schools. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate and be committed to fostering a Catholic educational ethos. You will engage with various learners, supporting literacy and numeracy interventions, and promoting student wellness through goal-setting and a growth mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and implement effective literacy and numeracy interventions
• Provide wrap-around support for families and students
• Build positive relationships with students and their families
• Collaborate with staff to enhance student learning
• Work with Indigenous and English Acquisition Learners
Requirements:
• Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate required
• Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
• Commitment to the Catholic Faith in education
• Experience in collaborative teaching environments
• Ability to work with diverse learning needs
