Wallenstein Feed & Supply Ltd. is a fast-paced feed manufacturing facility serving farmers across Ontario. An independent, family-owned company, our mandate is to provide leadership in the delivery of nutritional solutions and support for our customers in achieving their goals. We have a dedicated team of over 300 employees who take pride in making sure we meet or exceed our customers’ expectations.
SUMMARY OF TASKS: As Maintenance Project Coordinator, you will work closely with the Maintenance Manager by helping to streamline operations across the Maintenance and Sanitation teams. This role serves as a key coordination point,
working to assist in scheduling preventative maintenance, managing parts inventory, and ensuring sanitation schedules are met.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate schedules for routine preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and capital improvement projects.
Oversee the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Assign and prioritize work orders, track progress, and close out completed tasks.
Act as the primary point of contact for external contractors. Schedule site visits, obtain quotes, verify insurance/certifications, and review completed work.
Manage the parts room inventory, sourcing specialized industrial components, tracking lead times for critical spares, and organizing emergency repair assemblies.
Maintain detailed maintenance logs required for agricultural audits, ensuring all work complies with Feed Safety regulations, CFIA standards, and HACCP protocols.
Process maintenance invoices, and track expenditures to help the Maintenance Manager stay within the departmental budget.
Minimum Qualifications: 2-3 years of experience in project coordination, ideally within a maintenance, construction, or manufacturing workplace preferred.
Strong communication, organizational and planning skills.
Desire to learn - Must be willing to work hands-on to gain knowledge.
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with CMMS software (e.g., Fiix, UpKeep, Hippo) preferred.
