Lead transformational Indigenous applied research as the Interim Manager at the First Peoples' Centre in North Bay, Ontario. This part time role emphasizes collaborative community engagement and developing impactful research initiatives.
At the First Peoples' Centre, you'll oversee Indigenous research initiatives that align with community needs and institutional priorities. Your role requires at least five years of experience in Indigenous research, strong leadership skills, and knowledge of ethical practices. You'll collaborate with Indigenous communities to develop frameworks and models, ensure accountability, and drive meaningful outcomes aligned with reconciliation goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development of Indigenous research initiatives
• Secure funding and oversee project implementation
• Guide research proposals involving Indigenous communities
• Build relationships with community partners and stakeholders
• Manage project budgets and staff performance
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's preferred
• Minimum five years in research or community initiatives
• Lived experience as an Indigenous person
• Proven project leadership from concept to evaluation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
