Mechanic

CEG Ltd. is looking for a skilled and dependable Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing a variety of equipment and vehicles to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues.
Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on equipment and vehicles.
Troubleshoot equipment problems and determine the appropriate repairs.
Complete repairs and maintenance efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Maintain accurate service and repair records.
Inspect equipment for safety and identify potential issues before they become major problems.
Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment safely and effectively.
Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work area.
Follow company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
Communicate with supervisors and operators regarding equipment condition and repair requirements.
Assist with other shop and field maintenance duties as required.

Qualifications
Previous experience as a mechanic, heavy-duty mechanic, equipment mechanic, or similar role.




Robust mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with diesel engines, hydraulics, and heavy equipment is an asset.
Ability to read and understand service manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.
Valid driver's license.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Journeyperson certification or relevant technical training is an asset.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, with additional hours as required
