About the Role

Chrima Metal Fabrication is looking for a detail‑oriented CAM/NC Programmer to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll work with CAD/CAM nesting software to convert engineering drawings into accurate NC code for laser cutting and downstream fabrication processes. You’ll play a key part in ensuring efficient material usage, precise part layouts, and smooth production flow.

What You’ll Do
Review engineering drawings quickly and accurately
Use CAD/CAM software to generate NC code, nesting layouts, material requirements, and process sheets
Work closely with Production, Quality, and Management to ensure accurate labor estimates, lead times, and customer satisfaction
Collect and process information from drawings and internal teams to support efficient laser cutting and fabrication
Generate reliable time studies and process estimates
Ensure all programming outputs are complete, accurate, and optimized for production efficiency

What You Bring




Degree or Diploma in Manufacturing, Engineering, CAD/CAM, or related field
3–5 years of CAD/CAM/NC programming experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
Experience with Trumpf equipment (lasers, punches, brakes, TOP CAM) is an asset
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Excellent problem‑solving and planning skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced workplace

Pay: $24.00-$32.00 per hour
