Thornhill Employment Hub is assisting a local employer who is hiring an RECE/ECE Assistant.

Requirements

· Caring and nurturing attitude towards children

· Positive verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to assist the ECE Teacher in a toddler or preschool classroom

· The individual must be able to work at least 9:00 to 4:30 Monday to Friday.

· Must have standard first aid and CPR, current Vulnerable sector screening

Responsibilities

· Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs

· Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts

· Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping

· Assist with proper eating, dressing and toilet habits

· Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods

Must have first aid and CPR

Mandarin or Cantonese language preferred

Pay: From $19.60 per hour

Work Location: In person
