About Island Gold District: Alamos Gold’s Island Gold District will become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mines in Canada. With the two mines within the district, Island Gold and Magino employ over 900 team members who work in the underground and open pit operations and are located in northern Ontario, just east of the town of Dubreuilville, 83 kilometres northeast of Wawa. Through ongoing exploration success, Island Gold District’s Mineral Reserves and Resources have continued to grow in size and quality.

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the Senior Mine Engineer will be responsible for supervision of mine planning, drill/blast planning and surveying department. Other tasks will include execution of strategic planning, budget review,



project management as well as coaching and mentoring of EITs.

Oversee the preparation of Short, Medium and Long Range Plans, as well as participate in the creation and review of yearly budget and life of mine planning Supervise drilling and blasting design activities in compliance with company SOPs Provide direction to Mine Operations in accordance with strategic planning Mine Design work including waste dumps, stockpiles, haul roads and underground void model updates Participate in continuous improvement initiatives End of month reconciliations as well as quarterly and yearly reporting presentations University degree in Mining Engineering or similar field.

Professional Engineering

Designation or eligible to register as a Professional Engineer within 6 months. A Minimum of eight years of open pit mine engineering experience required. Proficiency mine design software such as MinePlan considered an asset Familiarity with Fleet Management Systems, production reporting systems and analytical tools (such as PowerBi) Working knowledge of working around historic underground voids considered an asset Opportunity to drive meaningful change in electrical department.

Travel & Accommodation ~ Company will provide flights, camp accommodation and travel allowance as needed. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience and internal equity.
