We are currently seeking a Surveyor to join our Survey Division to work out of our Kitchener office.

Responsibilities
Assist with the completion of topographic surveys, construction layouts, and boundary surveys
CAD drafting for survey projects and calculations for construction layout
Prepare survey notes, grade sheets, and perform various calculations
Communicate with other surveyors and contractors to complete survey tasks
Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated
Download field survey data and make records ready for processing and documentation; and
Other related duties, as assigned
Requirements
Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent
1-3 years of experience in a similar role (including co-op experience)
Experienced with Auto CAD/Civil 3D
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Familiarity with laser/optical levels, total stations, and GPS survey equipment
Working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent attention to detail
Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and safe work practices when working around heavy equipment and/or construction sites
Standard First Aid & CPR training considered an asset and
The successful candidate must possess a valid class G driver’s license and must be able to work flexible schedule to meet contractor hours and project deadlines

Salary Range
$23.79 - $30.00 per hour, plus benefits
Hourly Wage will be based on individual education, qualifications, and relevant work experience.
