Job Description Outside Sales Representative Food Distribution Join the food distribution sector for our client and play a key role in expanding a territory dedicated to hotels, restaurants, and institutions.
You will contribute to developing new business opportunities, building long-term customer relationships, and promoting a diverse product offering in a dynamic environment focused on growth and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities: Business development and territory growth • Develop new business relationships to grow the client portfolio within the assigned territory. • Identify and secure current contacts, including prospective clients and referrals. • Develop new customers and drive sales growth across the territory. • Develop outreach strategies to support and actively maintain customer relationships.
• Maintain an active and consistent presence throughout the territory.
Customer relationship management and retention • Develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers. • Retain active customers and respond promptly to customer-related issues. • Conduct regular follow-ups with existing customers to ensure satisfaction. • Perform courtesy visits to maintain company visibility, assess customer satisfaction, and better understand customer needs. • Assess customer needs to recommend suitable products and services. • Expand existing customer portfolios by promoting complementary products, value-added products, and recent product offerings. • Monitor customer perceptions regarding product quality, pricing, and service levels.
Sales management and administrative follow-up • Help customers achieve their objectives while contributing to individual and team sales and profitability goals. • Negotiate and follow up on commercial agreements. • Ensure that account opening documentation, credit agreements, and other required documents are completed. • Manage daily email correspondence and follow-ups. • Prepare meeting summaries and ensure appropriate follow-up actions. • Maintain up-to-date customer information. • Organize work schedules and optimize travel activities.
• Prepare promotional tools and materials required to conduct effective and profitable customer meetings.
Collaboration and contribution to business objectives • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction. • Participate in weekly meetings with direct management. • Share information related to sales performance, customer retention, and new business opportunities. • Contribute to achieving the organization's growth objectives.
What you will need to succeed: Required qualifications • +5 years of experience in outside sales and business development. • Experience in prospecting and developing new accounts. • Strong sales, negotiation, and business relationship management skills. • Solid business and financial acumen with the ability to plan and execute business plans. • Ability to understand and manage contract compliance requirements. • Valid driver's license. • Access to a vehicle. • Bilingualism in French and English to communicate effectively with customers and support sales activities throughout the territory.
