Job Title: Financial Analyst
Location: Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
Job Type: Permanent - Full Time
Work Mode: In office (occasional remote work only)
Salary: $80,000
Join a medium-sized private organization in the construction sector, within a finance/accounting team of 4 people. The position combines project billing, monthly consolidation, and financial analyses that directly support internal decisions. You will work closely with the finance management and project managers, in a context of replacement following a departure.
Responsibilities — monthly deliverables, analyses, and process improvement
Prepare monthly project billing and ensure follow-ups with relevant stakeholders
Perform monthly consolidation of the company's results
Produce and analyze financial information according to various internal guidelines
Optimize interdepartmental financial processes and resolve operational issues
Prepare and analyze work in progress (WIP) for projects, then participate in meetings with project managers
Participate in the development of financial files with legal implications
Support the finance director in preparing presentations, analyses, and reports, as well as in year-end financial files
Profile Sought — Must-Haves and Collaboration Style
Hold a DEP in accounting
Justify at least 3 years of relevant experience in finance/accounting
Master French and English at an advanced level (advanced bilingualism)
Effectively use an ERP (Maestro) and the Office Suite on a daily basis
Demonstrate rigor and a good sense of priorities to deliver monthly deadlines
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders (finance and operations) with a solution-oriented mindset
Conditions — compensation, schedule, and benefits
Offer a salary of $80,000
Add an annual bonus of 10%
Maintain a schedule of 40 hours/week (possibility of 35 hours or 37.5 hours)
