Job Summary: The Software Developer will design, develop, test, and support AI-enabled applications and workflows, focusing on integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and human-in-the-loop review processes.
This role supports the Curriculum AI Assistant Platform, combining AI capabilities with expert-driven decision-making to accelerate curriculum development.
The position requires full stack development expertise, secure application design, and collaboration within Agile teams.
Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and maintain AI-powered applications and workflows.
Develop and integrate AI agents into a secure web-based platform.
Design and implement data pipelines including extraction, transformation, and loading.
Develop APIs and application services supporting AI, document processing, and workflow automation.
Implement human-in-the-loop workflows for user review, validation, and approval of AI-generated content.
Translate technical specifications into tested, working applications and detailed programming specifications.
Resolve technical issues and provide support during implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge transfer activities.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, UX designers, architects, QA, and product owners.
Support MVP delivery, iterative product enhancement, and continuous improvement activities.
Ensure application security, privacy compliance, and quality assurance through testing, code reviews, and secure design principles.
Support production deployments, issue resolution, and ongoing maintenance.
Facilitate technical discussions, design walkthroughs, and solution reviews.
Communicate technical concepts, risks, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Skills & Certifications:
Experience designing and developing AI-enabled applications using Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI platforms.
Proficiency in full stack development including front-end and back-end frameworks and REST API integration.
Strong knowledge of data pipelines, relational databases, data modeling, and SQL.
Experience with Azure services such as Azure Functions, API Management, Logic Apps, and Azure Active Directory (Entra ID).
Implementation of authentication and authorization controls including Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
Experience implementing human-in-the-loop workflows and multi-step AI agent workflows.
Strong understanding of secure application design, role-based access control, audit logging, and privacy compliance.
Proficiency in Agile development practices and tools such as Azure Dev
Ops or Jira.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment, and Dev
Ops practices.
Strong debugging, testing (unit, integration, user acceptance), and software quality assurance skills.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills.
Preferred Skills & Certifications: Experience with Angular, Java
Script, HTML, CSS, and contemporary web development practices.
Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), knowledge retrieval, and document processing solutions.
Experience designing accessible applications compliant with AODA and WCAG standards.
Experience conducting technical discovery, proof-of-concept development, and validation activities.
Familiarity with solution architecture and enterprise web application design.
Special Considerations: Must be available for 5 days onsite as required.
Work involves handling sensitive information requiring strict security and privacy controls.
Role requires managing competing priorities and meeting project deadlines.
