Job Description AECOM ’s Cultural Resources Team is seeking an experienced Project Archaeologist to support and grow our dynamic team across Ontario.

The successful candidate will manage a wide range of cultural resources (archaeology / heritage) focused projects from planning to completion, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality client deliverables.

This new role is ideal for a skilled skilled who can effectively lead project teams, manage scope, budget and schedule of projects, liaise with clients and regulators, and ensure the successful delivery of cultural resource management services.

Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage cultural resource management projects from proposal through to final reporting, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.

Oversee fieldwork logistics and execution, including managing multiple crews and coordinating resources.





Apply advanced scientific principles and archaeological methodologies to solve complex project challenges.

Conduct QA/QC on reports and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and multidisciplinary teams.

Manage field data collection, artifact cataloguing, and report preparation.

Develop and implement health and safety protocols for fieldwork.

Support business development efforts, including proposal writing and client engagement.

Mentor junior staff and review deliverables to maintain quality and consistency.

Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree 4+
