The Whistler Sliding Centre (WSC) is a world-class bobsleigh, skeleton and luge facility located above Whistler Village on the side of Blackcomb Mountain. Home to Olympic sport, high-performance training and public sliding experiences, WSC delivers sport programming, competitions and unforgettable guest experiences throughout the winter season.

We are currently hiring a Track Medical Responder to support the secure operation of the Whistler Sliding Centre. This unique role combines first aid and emergency response with hands-on track operations, safety and the delivery of our sport and public sliding programs.

Schedule: Full-time hours; flexibility to work evenings and weekends required

Salary: $24.50–$28.00/hour, depending on experience

Start Date: October 22, 2026

What You’ll Do

• Provide first aid and accident-site control for incidents both on and off the track.


• Identify and respond to hazards, support incident reporting and help maintain a safe environment for guests, athletes and colleagues.


• Participate in emergency response scenarios and venue safety procedures.


• Support daily preparation and maintenance of the sliding track, including shoveling, sweeping, spritzing, slushing and scraping.






• Assist with track clearances, snow removal and other operational duties around the venue.


• Help deliver public and sport programs, including participant safety orientations, equipment checks and track-side support.


• Interact with athletes, coaches and guests while providing friendly and qualified service.


• Support sport competitions, special events and other Whistler Sliding Centre programs as required.

What You Bring

• Current OFA Level 3 or equivalent certification, such as Canadian National Ski Patrol Outdoor Emergency Care.


• A valid BC Class 5 driver’s license.


• Previous physical labor experience and comfort performing hands-on work with attention to detail.


• Previous guest service experience and strong interpersonal and communication skills.


• A safety-conscious mindset and the ability to adapt in a dynamic operational environment.


• Three or more years of Ski Patrol experience is preferred.


• Knowledge of the Whistler Sliding Centre and the sports of bobsleigh, luge and skeleton is an asset.


• Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions, stand for extended periods and regularly lift up to 50 lbs.


• A satisfactory criminal record check prior to commencing employment.
