Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market.**Job Responsibilities:**Scope of PositionTo champion continuous improvement initiatives such cycle time, scrap, downtime and manpower reduction through welding / assembly, CNC, hydroforming, and stamping during the manufacturing of steel and aluminum engine cradles. Champion the design, build, and development of assembly processes and tooling required. Manage launch activities, engineering changes, and VAVE activities. Support quality quick response meetings and trouble shoot production issues on the line. Be able to update and create PFMEA's, process flows, work instructions and understand the product GD&T. Salary Range: $80, 000 to $100,000Minimum RequirementsEngineering Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Manufacturing or Industrial EngineeringMinimum Five (5) years related experience within an automotive assembly or similar manufacturing industryAble to read and interpret CAD drawings,



experience with AutoCADExperience with CAD tools (AutoCAD, NX, Catia, Solidworks) is required.Experience in project management and cost/quote development is an asset.Familiarity with FMEA, APQP, and DOEKnowledge of MIG welding aluminum and galvanized steel an assetKnowledge of stamping, hydroforming, E-coat and CNC machining an assetGood organizational, verbal and written communication skillsAppropriate presentation skills for customer interfaceAbility to work in a fast paced environmentDemonstrates the ability to work effectively in a team environmentAbility to work overtime to meet customer needs Job SpecificResponsibilitiesHandles medium size projects from inception to completion (timing, concept, feasibility, design, construction, try-out, launch, final buy-off (PPAP and run at rate), prototype programs, and engineering changes) with moderate follow-up by leadership.Conducts appropriate Manpower efficiency studies – through time and motion studies or standard data. Line balancing manpower, machine charts and analysisPrepare reports, charts and other documentation required for engineering records and projectsWorks with all departments and customers to design solutions that improve production efficiency, ergonomics, safety and maintenance related issuesIdentify and implement continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facilityAssists in developing material handling logistics (i.E. - Aisle layout,



bin placement, dunnage assists, etc.)Follow-up of new tooling programs to contain costs, timing and quality requirements through all phases including prototype, die construction, tool prove out, buy-off and program launch.Supervises equipment relocation and installation to Deco AutomotiveAssists in resolving quality concerns and identifying root cause.Reviews, co-ordinates and implements customer initiated approved engineering changes, (administrative to complete re-designs).Develop and update 2D AutoCAD layouts to support factory planning and project execution.Utilize PLC programming skills to configure, modify, and optimize automated equipment controls and processes.Supports our new business quoting processAdheres to Deco Automotive's Core Values: Integrity, Respect, Trust, Honesty, Fairness and LoyaltyFollows and complies with all Operational Procedures and Policies as Outlined in the Team Member Handbook, Quality and Environmental Programs (i.E.
