About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its national sport organization, with a focus on modernizing and transforming the organization to ensure long-term success. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing visionary, strategic, and operational leadership, with a solid emphasis on growing equestrian sport, achieving excellence in high-performance competition, and fostering a culture of safe sport, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors to implement the strategic plan, engage with stakeholders, and ensure the effective stewardship of the organization's financial, human, and reputational assets. Key responsibilities include leading organizational transformation, growing participation, strengthening high performance, and developing a diversified revenue strategy.
Candidates for the CEO position at the company should have a proven track record of leading complex organizations, preferably within sport, nonprofit, or national governing body environments. A Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field is required, along with a strong understanding of the requirements of a national governing body and knowledge of equestrian sport.
The role demands a leader with established industry relationships, excellent management capabilities, and the ability to work effectively with the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, innovative, and open to change, with high ethical standards and a commitment to building a positive work culture.
Practical requirements include the ability to travel and be available outside standard business hours.
