Deepchill Solutions Inc., a leader in cutting-edge refrigeration technology, is looking for a Mechanical Assembler Technician with sharp attention to detail and a steady hand. Play a key role to build, fit and test mechanical equipment and sub-assemblies in our manufacturing shop. You will work from drawings and work instructions to produce quality products on schedule.

Must-Haves:

- Assemble mechanical components, sub-assemblies and complete units following drawings, BOMs and work instructions.
- Fit, align and fasten parts such as frames, brackets, shafts, bearings, gears, motors, pumps, valves and piping.
- Use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches and lifting equipment safely and correctly.
- Measure and check parts with tape measures, calipers, micrometers and levels.
- Perform basic fabrication tasks: cutting, drilling, tapping, grinding, deburring and minor fitting.
- Install fittings, hoses, tubing and fasteners to correct torque and specification.
- Run functional and leak checks on finished assemblies and record results.
- Inspect own work for quality; report defects, missing parts or drawing errors to the supervisor.
- Prepare finished products for shipping: labeling, protecting and crating.
- Keep the work area clean and organized




- Experience in refrigeration, industrial manufacturing, or related industries is a plus
- Knowledge of electrical design and PLC programming is an asset — a path to grow into a design or controls role within the company

Qualifications

Required

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing or fabrication shop.
- Able to read mechanical drawings, BOMs and basic piping schematics.
- Hands-on skill with hand and power tools, torque wrenches, tube cutters, benders and flaring tools.
- Accurate measuring with tape, calipers and levels.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to safe work practices.

· Brazing experience on copper refrigerant lines (silver/phos-copper), ideally with a brazing certification is a plus.

· Experience building skid packages, pump packages or HVAC/R equipment.

Working conditions

· Shop-floor environment with noise, brazing heat and fumes; PPE provided and required.

· Standing, bending, kneeling and working in tight spaces for long periods.

· Lifting up to 23 kg (50 lb) unassisted; heavier loads with cranes or lifting aids.

· Day shift, Monday to Friday; occasional overtime to meet shipping dates.

Pay: $17.60-$29.58 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
