Position Summary
The Site Supervisor is responsible for the overall management, supervision, and daily operation of the Before and After School Program. This role ensures a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children, while maintaining compliance with licensing requirements, organizational policies, and regulatory standards. The Site Supervisor provides leadership to staff, builds robust relationships with families, and supports high-quality programming.
The role also includes scheduled weekly administrative (office) hours to support planning, documentation, staff coordination, and program organization.
Key Responsibilities
Program Operations & Leadership
- Oversee the daily operation of the program, including opening and closing procedures
- Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate activities that support children’s development
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment at all times
- Maintain compliance with all applicable licensing regulations and organizational policies
- Manage attendance, ratios, and staffing schedules
Staff Supervision & Support
- Supervise, mentor, and support program staff and supply staff
- Conduct staff orientations, training, and ongoing performance feedback
- Foster a positive, collaborative team environment
- Ensure staff adhere to policies, procedures, and best practices
Child Guidance & Safety
- Promote positive behaviour guidance strategies aligned with program philosophy
- Address and document incidents, accidents, and behavioural concerns
- Ensure proper supervision and safety practices are consistently followed
- Respond to emergencies and follow appropriate procedures
Family & Community Engagement
- Build and maintain positive relationships with families
- Communicate effectively regarding children’s development, concerns, and program updates
- Address parent inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Collaborate with school staff and community partners as needed
Administration & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records including attendance, incident reports, and staff documentation
- Ensure all licensing requirements are met and documentation is up to date
- Support audits, inspections, and internal reviews
- Assist with enrollment, registrations, and program communications
- Utilize weekly scheduled office hours for administrative tasks, program planning, staff coordination, and documentation
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (if applicable)
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a licensed child care setting
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification
- Current Vulnerable Sector Screening

Working Conditions
- Split shifts (morning and afternoon program hours)
- Includes scheduled weekly office/administrative hours
- Ability to supervise children both indoors and outdoors
- May be required to lift equipment or assist children as needed
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28.0 – 30.0 per week
