We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Shop Labour to join our dynamic manufacturing environment. Duties
- Assist with the assembly of products using hand tools and power tools, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Operate forklifts safely to move materials and inventory around the shop floor or warehouse.
- Support mechanical tasks by understanding basic mechanical principles and assisting with equipment maintenance or repairs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Load, unload, and organize raw materials, components, and finished goods within the warehouse or production area.
- Use hand tools for minor repairs or adjustments on machinery or products as needed.
- Follow safety protocols diligently and report any hazards or incidents immediately.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts safely.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance or troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for assembly or minor repairs.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
