Overview
Seeking a hands‑on Aircraft Component Technician to disassemble, inspect, repair, and test aviation components (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic).
Must be able to read technical manuals, use hand tools and precision measuring instruments, and follow CMM/SB/AD requirements. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, identifying required parts, coordinating parts ordering, and maintaining accurate repair documentation. Ideal for someone detail‑oriented with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Experience
- General industry knowledge
- Experience in aircraft component (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic) maintenance or a related field
- Hands‑on experience with assembly, teardown, inspection, and testing of components
- Strong background in general aviation maintenance; component‑level experience strongly preferred
- Experience working in a repair‑shop setting (5+ years required)
- Experience with general aviation / large turbine helicopters (5+ years required)
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed schematics / technical diagrams to guide tasks.
- Assemble and fit pre-fabricated parts to form subassemblies
- Assemble, fit and install pre-fabricated parts and subassemblies
- Maintain, and troubleshoot components using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Inspect assemblies for alignment, symmetry, dimensions, fit and quality of workmanship
- Perform all tasks in accordance with safety standards and technical specifications.
- Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Diagnose issues promptly using schematics and troubleshooting techniques to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including inspection reports, repair logs.
Technical Skills
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical data
- Solid troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and aircraft systems
- Ability to follow technical instructions and accurately diagnose issues
- Experience using measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc.)

- Comfortable working in a component‑shop environment with high standards for quality, documentation, and customer service
- Robust organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to function effectively as part of a high‑performance team
- Positive, team‑oriented attitude with clear written and verbal communication skills
Education
- Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
- College, CEGEP, or technical diploma (1–2‑year program) in a related field

Pay: $28.00-$31.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
