Davis Controls Team as part of the Hoskin Group have over 60 years of being leading distributors in Canadian Automation and Process markets. The Davis Controls team also holds a strong position in the Canadian Instrumentation and Controls markets while representing a strong portfolio of exceptional products that deliver reliable and cost effective solutions. Summary The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding Davis Controls Ltd.’s presence within the Canadian automation and process markets. As a self-motivated, quick-learning, and results-oriented professional, the incumbent will identify new business opportunities, develop and strengthen customer relationships, and deliver tailored solutions that support client needs. This role plays a key part in enhancing customer experience, increasing market share, and supporting the Sales and Service teams by streamlining business development activities, improving operational efficiency, and contributing to the overall growth and success of the Quebec operation. This role requires candidates to be Bilingual in French and English Ideally the candidate will reside in Chapais, Lasalle, Cornwall/Alexandria, and Temiscamingue or within the area encompassed between these cities (the sales territory). This is a remote role, but there is an expectation of high customer engagement In-Person within the sales territory.
Duties and Responsibilities Live and demonstrate the company’s purpose and values by delivering an exceptional customer experience grounded in integrity, accountability, respect, and continuous improvement, while achieving personal and professional growth. Develop and execute strategic sales and growth plans to expand Davis Controls’ market presence, customer base, and revenue across its product and solution portfolio. Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across targeted industries. Actively follow up on proposals, quotations, and sales opportunities to drive conversion and revenue growth. Maintain a strong pipeline and provide accurate forecasting of bookings and revenue. Expand market share within existing accounts while developing recent customer relationships. Respond to customer order reminders and proactively manage project timelines. Provide technical guidance on system sizing, product selection, and application suitability. Assist with project documentation including submittals, drawings, specifications, and compliance documentation. Maintain organized records of opportunities, customer interactions, and project progress within CRM systems. Perform other duties as assigned by management to support business objectives. Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities Postsecondary education in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation, Process Automation, or a related technical discipline; an equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience will also be considered.
