Required Skills & Experience:6 Month Contract with chance to full timeHybrid - Downtown Toronto or MontrealHourly Rate: $30-35/hrDesired Experience & Skills2-4 years of instructional design, learning and development, training, or curriculum development experienceBilingual - French and EnglishStrong understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, Agile Learning Design, or similar frameworks)Experience developing learning solutions for both technical and non-technical audiencesProficiency with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, or similar platformsExperience developing instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced learning programsStrong writing, communication, editing, and storytelling skillsExcellent stakeholder management and consultation capabilitiesAbility to translate complex business processes, systems, and concepts into clear learning solutionsExperience measuring training effectiveness and using feedback to improve learning outcomesStrong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyExperience working within large organizations and cross-functional environmentsFinancial services experience is preferredBanking ExpNice to Have Skills & Experience:Job DescriptionRole OverviewThe Instructional Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining engaging, effective learning solutions that support business goals, employee performance, and organizational change initiatives. This role partners closely with business leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), project teams,



and change management professionals to translate complex information into impactful learning experiences.The ideal candidate is a creative and detail-oriented learning professional with experience in adult learning principles, curriculum design, eLearning development, facilitator-led training, and performance support tools. They possess strong communication and project management skills and can independently manage multiple learning initiatives in a dynamic environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, and blended learning solutionsPartner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to assess learning needs and define training requirementsApply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create effective training programsDevelop learning objectives, curricula, course content, assessments, and evaluation strategiesCreate engaging learner experiences using various instructional techniques and technologiesBuild and maintain eLearning modules, videos, simulations, job aids, and other learning assetsSupport organizational transformation, process changes, system implementations, and operational readiness initiatives through training designConduct training needs analyses and identify performance improvement opportunitiesManage multiple training projects, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectationsEvaluate learning effectiveness and recommend improvements based on learner feedback and business outcomesEnsure all training materials align with organizational standards, branding, accessibility, and compliance requirementsStay current on emerging learning technologies, instructional design trends, and best practices
