Posted Monday, March 30, 2026 at 10:00 AMFull-time, contract (20 months)Position summaryReporting to the development manager, information technology, the developer will work on designing, developing, and implementing applications using .NET custom framework within a team environment.We are looking for an efficient, driven, detail-oriented person who strives for quality and improvement and is passionate about building great solutions.Duties and responsibilitiesDuties include but are not limited to the following:design and develop applications,frameworksandsolutionsto meet the business and technical requirementsidentifythe policies and requirements that drive a solutioncreate,deployandmaintain.NET-based applications in anOpsenvironment working with business analysts and other team membersuseappropriate proceduresand methodstoidentifyand document database content, structure, and application sub-systems,and develop data dictionaryidentify,documentand followsystem-specific standards relating to programming, documentation and testing, covering technical architecture, program libraries, data dictionaries, naming conventions, etc.Develop procedures for migrations and upgradesensure the right tools are in place tomonitorthe production application to ensure stability,efficiencyandperformanceidentifypotential risks and problem areas,and develop procedures that provide effective solutions or mitigation strategies to work around the problem at handanalyze and evaluate alternative technology solutions to meet business problemscommunicate regularly with users, development team, IT teams and management on project goals,prioritiesand requirementsperform other duties, functionsand responsibilities asassignedSkills and qualificationsRequired qualifications and experience include:degree in computer science or business administration,
or college diploma in computer science, computer systems technician or another IT-related field relevant to the position, or equivalent experienceminimum of three years development experienceexpert knowledge of software system design and development using the Microsoft .NET platform/SQL Server Management Studioknowledge of Angular.Js an assetknowledge of MassTransit or SharePoint Client Object Model (CSOM) an assetsolid understanding or experience implementing SOA-based solutions and REST APIsknowledge of DevOps principles and practicesanalytical mind and problem-solving aptitudestrong organizational skillsstrong verbal and written communication skillsmust be able to work in an Agile team environmentmust have the flexibility to handle multiple tasks at the same timecommunicate effectively with manager and development team to provide progress updates, roadblocks, and offer suggestions and solutionsThe compensation range for this position is based on an annual salary of $72,827 to $91,034 per year.The College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) has been recognized as one of BC's top employers since 2011 and as a certified Living Wage Employer in BC since 2025.
