Support student writing success as an On-Campus Writing Tutor at the University of Regina. Engage in one-on-one consultations to enhance writing skills and academic strategies.
The University of Regina is seeking a Writing Tutor to facilitate personalized writing sessions for students. This part time position requires availability for 8-10 hours each week on campus. You will help students develop effective reading and writing strategies while providing guidance on academic writing processes including essays and citations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct one-on-one writing consultations over Zoom and in person
• Communicate effectively with diverse students and backgrounds
• Educate on academic writing components and styles, including APA and MLA
• Provide support in grammar, mechanics, and citation techniques
• Help students develop strategies for time management and note-taking
Requirements:
• Must be a registered student at U of R
• Preference given to graduate students with relevant experience
• Consideration for senior undergraduates with tutoring experience
• Available a minimum of 8 hours each week
• Willingness to accept additional shifts when needed
