Reporting t o Dining Room Manager the Dining Room Servers will work with the kitchen staff to provide a fine dining experience to all residents and guests at each meal.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

- ? Prepare dining area for guests including setting proper tableware up as directed in organizational service standards manual
- ? Handle foods in accordance with sanitary procedures and organizational standards
- ? Take meal and beverage orders and serve items according to established guidelines
- ? Create a comfortable dining environment for residents and guests by way of friendly and professional interactions
- ? Bus tables following service and coordinate with kitchen staff to complete dishwashing process
- ? Ensure dining areas are clean and disinfected at all times
- ? Stock, maintain and clean designated food and beverage stations
- ? Promote Resident autonomy, independence and advocacy, including Residents' rights and a culture of dignity and non-abuse
- ? Other duties as assigned
- ? Previous knowledge of WHMIS program




- ? Previous experience in restaurant or banquet settings or senior care is considered an asset

- ? Exceptional attention to detail, exceptional time management skills, ability to prioritize
- ? Understanding influence of disabilities and aging processes on residents' food preferences and dining habits
- ? Ability to self-initiate and also work well as a team member
- ? Effective oral and written communication skills
- ? Demonstrated ability to multitask
- ? Excellent observational skills and ability to determine urgency or reportable incidents

- ? Strong aptitude towards the good health and safety of all residents, staff and visitors
- ? Empathetic to and understanding of the specific needs of seniors
