Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their growing finance team. Reporting to the CFO, this is a hands-on role responsible for full-cycle accounting, payroll, financial reporting, and project accounting within a quick-paced, project-based environment.The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of their work while collaborating with both finance and operational teams.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & PayrollManage full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end closePrepare monthly financial statements, reports, and supporting schedulesProcess payroll and ensure all related remittances and year-end requirements are completed accuratelyAssist with GST, payroll, and other government filingsSupport year-end activities and work with external accounting partners as requiredManage intercompany transactions and reconciliationsProject AccountingSupport project accounting and job costing activitiesTrack project expenses, budgets,



and costs throughout the project lifecycleMonitor project performance and identify variances or potential cost concernsWork with project and operations teams to ensure expenses are accurately recorded and allocatedAssist with cash flow management, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysisPrepare ad hoc reports and analysis for the CFO and leadership teamMaintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready financial recordsIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and internal controlsQualifications3+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong full-cycle accounting experiencePayroll experience requiredExperience with project accounting or job costing is a mustExperience with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting softwareStrong Excel and financial reporting skillsCPA designation or actively working toward CPA is an assetStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesComfortable working independently and collaborating across teams
