Support daily kitchen operations at Kids & Company as a Part-Time Kitchen Assistant in Halifax, NS. Engage in food preparation and ensure timely delivery of meals while adhering to safety standards.
This vital role reports to the Chef and Centre Director, where your contributions will enhance the kitchen experience for children. You’ll assist with meal portioning, kitchen support tasks, and maintain a clean setting, all while working Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with meal and snack delivery to classrooms
• Support food preparation and kitchen tasks as assigned
• Organize meal service supplies and delivery carts
• Collect dishes and utensils from classrooms
• Maintain cleanliness in work areas and kitchen equipment
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years Kitchen Assistant experience
• High School diploma or GED required
• Current Food Handler Certification preferred
• Valid driver’s license and clean abstract
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
