Employment Status: Permanent (Existing Vacancy) Work Hours Schedule: FTE 1.00 Location: Catholic Education Centre, Wallaceburg Annual Salary Range: A1 (Steps 0-10): $54,884 - $94,278A2 (Steps 0-11): $57,844 - $102,628A3 (Steps 0-11): $62,669 - $110,889A4 (Steps 0-11): $66,415 - $119,938 Start Date: November 2, 2026 Reporting/Responsibilities Serve as the Itinerant Teacher providing specialized support to schools with students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing, including those with ongoing and complex learning. Collaborate closely with Principals, classroom teachers, Special Education staff, Educational Assistants, and system‑level professionals to support inclusive and accessible programming. Provide direct and consultative instructional services to individual students and small groups who are Deaf, and Hard of Hearing. Support effective collaboration between schools, families, and community/service partners. Qualifications and Skills Teaching Students Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing qualifications. Background knowledge of instructional strategies for students with hearing curriculum adaptations and accessible learning materials, and assistive and adaptive technologies.



Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL). Able to provide in‑services and training for staff. Must have basic computer literacy skills. Excellent written or oral communication skills. Able to work effectively as part of a multi‑disciplinary team. Must have completed a minimum of one long term occasional assignment that was a minimum of four (4) months duration and has received a satisfactory occasional teacher evaluation.
