Emergency Teacher Candidates are notified on the day of the vacancy.RequirementsTeacher Candidates in Year 1-4 of a Concurrent Education Program and/or teachers in receipt of TPP pension; As we are an English board, oral and written English proficiency is required; Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (dated within six months); Emergency Teachersmust be available for half or single day occasional teacher coverage on last minute notice; Proven abilityto maintain discipline in the classroom (classroom management); Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment; Experience workingwith G‑Suite (Gmail, Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) products.The AMDSB is committed to equity in employment and equitable hiring practices that allow us to engage qualified staff who reflect diversity.
