With 250+ employees annually, MATRIX is a drug & alcohol-free workplace and offers real career advancement for all skill levels.What You'll DoAs a Camp Maintenance Technician, you'll keep camp facilities running smoothly in a remote environment by completing hands‐on maintenance, coordinating repairs, and supporting trades teams when needed. You'll be organized, safety‐focused, and quick to respond—especially during high‐importance issues like emergencies and daily system checks.Key Responsibilities:Perform minor repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical (basic), and ventilation systemsCoordinate with site tradespersons for major repairs and ensure issues are tracked to completionLead day‐to‐day maintenance work and oversee a Maintenance Labourer to keep tasks moving safely and productivelyComplete routine maintenance such as: painting, drywall patching, shelving, door hardware (knobs/locks), lighting, and moreRespond to resident repair requests quickly and professionallyComplete daily building system inspections and support scheduled PMs (daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly)Assist skilled trades (mechanics, electricians, carpenters, plumbers) with general support tasksCoordinate room readiness for incoming residents/guests (prep, access,



readiness)Coordinate parking/access and electrical shut‐down timing with trades teamsEnsure fire safety and security equipment is functional and coordinate access/security support with site staffRespond to emergencies (e.G., floods, fires) and support protected outcomesHelp maintain camp compliance with health, fire, safety, and security policiesCommunicate with guests and manage expectations when work causes disruptionsPerform/assist with small appliance repairs and installations (highly desired)Diagnose larger issues and know when to escape to the correct tradeReplace/rebuild common hardware items: batteries? (confirm), door knobs, locks, cabinet/drawer handlesSupport outdoor/site needs as required: shoveling snow and other physical maintenance tasksWhat You Bring (Requirements)Level 1 First Aid (or equivalent) — 2-day course requiredValid Driver's LicenseFacilities Maintenance certificate or equivalent — highly desiredAbility to work in a physically demanding role and lift safely minimum 50 lbsProficient computer skills (required): MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel), Office 365Strong organizational, problem-solving, and management abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPositive attitude and willingness to help your team succeedAssets (Preferred)Experience working in a remote camp environmentFamiliarity using a Satellite phoneTrades experience (asset)Handy, adaptable, and practical problem-solverBenefitsFly-in / Fly-out3 Weeks In / 3 Weeks Out RotationSalary Range: $400/day – $475/day (depending on skills and experience)Drug & Alcohol-Free WorkplaceMATRIX is committed to a safe, responsible workplace.
