Raymond Laboratory/X-ray Department is located in the Raymond Health Care Centre and serves the town as well as its surrounding area. Raymond, Alberta is located 30 mins from Lethbridge, Alberta and 1 hour from the Coutts, Montana border. The Raymond CLXT location is staffed with an experienced team of laboratory and x-ray professionals who offer robust patient focused service to their community.
As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I, you will perform procedures in both the laboratory and in diagnostic imaging, typically in rural sites. You will work as a member of the inter-professional team and be responsible for collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X-ray examinations, ECGs and reporting results. Your responsibilities include preparing patients, venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies and performing quality control procedures as required.
Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT).Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).
The successful applicant must have a strong sense of teamwork and possess excellent communication skills. Strong technical skills and adaptability is imperative in this position.
Recent phlebotomy and rural experience are an asset.
