Familiar with Gasoline,



Diesel and Jet Fuel testingProficiency in wet chemistry and analytical instrumentationExperience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) or SAPKnowledge of ASTM methods for petroleum testingResponsibilitiesExecute daily laboratory analysis on crude oil, intermediates, and finished products using approved Standard Operating ProceduresMaintain, calibrate, and verify the performance of laboratory instruments (e.G., gas chromatographs, viscometers)Record and report analytical data accurately using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)Collect, prepare, and analyze samples, including cleaning glassware and maintaining laboratory hygieneParticipate in lab quality programs and troubleshoot non-conformance trendsLocation and other key detailsYou will work out of our Edmonton refinery in Sherwood Park, located at 801 Petroleum WayThe shift schedule is a 4 day a week with the requirement to work one weekend day every 5 weeks. with the potential for extended work. Hours will be based on business needsThis position is a unionized, overtime eligible positionBeing in a laboratory, there is a significant risk of exposure to chemicalsThe environment requires the use of PPE; safety boots, safety glasses, respiratory equipment, safety gloves, hearing protection, and specialized safety equipment (clothing, smocks, face shields).
