Position Summary

Working as a Meat Associate at Walmart Canada is a great opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced retail environment. What you’ll do

- Maintain Department Organisation and Standards: Keep the department clean, organized, and properly zoned to ensure it is customer-ready at all times; Rotate stock regularly and remove expired or unsellable products.
- Ensure Accurate Pricing and Signing: Ensure all merchandise is correctly signed and priced. Follow established procedures for ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labeling.
- Follow Food Safety and Cold Chain Practices: Adhere to food safety and cold chain standards, including temperature checks, thermometer calibration, proper food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration date compliance.
- Prepare and Serve Deli Products: Take customer orders and prepare deli items such as meat, cheese, and fried chicken. Use slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, deep fryers, and other tools safely to prepare food, fill display cases, and complete special customer orders.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Follow all Health and Safety guidelines and Company policies to maintain a secure, clean, and hygienic work environment.
- Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule): Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high-quality service.

- Perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Perform repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail and consistency to uphold store standards.
