In this role, you will work closely with our Tax Specialist and Corporate Accounting team. The Tax Analyst will be primarily responsible for assisting in tax compliance, tax provisioning and tax projects.If you are a detail-oriented and organized self-starter with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, and are looking to build your career in taxation.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with corporate accounting team and business units to obtain tax reporting and tax compliance informationAssist in the preparation and review of tax returns (T1/T2/T3/T5/T5013)Where required, assist with the preparation of the consolidated tax provision and tax disclosure note to the financial statementsAssist in the review and filing of GST/HST returnsReview and prepare responses for GST/HST auditsLiaise with CRA auditors and external auditors as required to facilitate inquiries and auditsAssist with the calculation and coordination of monthly tax instalmentsMaintain tax attributes for the operating groupsAssist with ad hoc tax research and analysisDesired Skills and ExperienceChartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, enrollment in the CPA program, or equivalent certification preferred1-2 years' of professional experience in taxation is preferredStrong work ethic and sense of responsibility and confidentialityStrong decision-making, communication (both verbal and written) and analytical skillsOrganized self-starter who is attentive to detail and able to work independentlyAbility to prioritize work and manage multiple tasksStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute effectively within a team environmentStrong computer skills – TaxPrep, Microsoft 365, Yardi or other ERP system experience$75,000 - $85,000 a yearThe annual base pay range for this position will be based on the desired experience level for this role.
