Qualified third year apprentices are being interviewed this week.The RoleGrizzlyTrek is hiring third year apprentice electricians in Red Deer to join our valued client's team on commercial and industrial electrical work across central Alberta. Pay is $28.00 an hour, the schedule is Monday to Friday with overtime, and your hours are tracked and signed off toward your fourth period and your Red Seal.The work runs out of Red Deer: new commercial construction, plant and shop maintenance, service upgrades and shutdown support. You work under journeyman supervision on conduit and cable tray, terminations, motor controls, panels and lighting. No camp, no rotation, and you are home every night.What You'll DoInstall conduit, cable tray and wire in commercial and industrial buildings under journeyman supervisionBend and run EMT and rigid conduit, pull cable, and terminate devices, panels and motor connectionsInstall and connect lighting, receptacles, disconnects, starters and motor control equipmentWork from electrical drawings, panel schedules and single line diagramsAssist with troubleshooting, testing and commissioning of circuits and equipmentComplete lockout and tagout, FLHAs and hazard assessments before work startsKeep tools, materials and the work area organized, and log your apprenticeship hoursWhat You BringThird year (third period) apprentice electrician, registered and in valuable standing with Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry TrainingTechnical training periods completed and passed to date, with a record of your hoursSolid conduit bending,

This assessment is job-related, focusing on the physical demands and safety sensitive nature of the work, and is conducted in accordance with Alberta Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements and the Alberta Human Rights Act. The assessment will cover:Health History Review: A thorough examination of the candidate's health background.Pre-Medical Evaluation: Measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.Musculoskeletal Examination: A head-to-toe assessment to identify any limitations or concerns related to physical health.Critical Strength and Mobility Test: A series of tasks assessing lifting, carrying, and positional abilities aligned with the job's physical demands (up to 50 lbs).Worker to provide proof of apprenticeship registration and standing with Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training, valid safety training tickets, a valid driver's licence, and CSA approved safety boots (minimum 6 inch, fully laceable)Employment is conditional upon successfully meeting all of the pre-employment requirements listed above
