Our client, a well-established organization located in the heart of Mississauga, is looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst for an initial 6-month contract, with the potential to convert to a permanent position.Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the successful candidate will support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals and financial statement preparation.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting activitiesPrepare journal entries, accruals and account reconciliationsAssist with financial statement preparation and reportingAnalyze financial information and support accounting-related projectsWork within a high-volume, transaction-driven environmentQualifications5+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong hands-on experience with full-cycle accounting and month-end closeProven experience with journal entries, reconciliations, accruals and financial statementsExperience working in a mid-to-large-sized organization with high transaction volumesStrong analytical skills and excellent attention to detailProactive, motivated and results-orientedStrong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables; Macros are an asset
