Working with the skilled team, the Patient Services Partner participates in the caring of patients by providing a variety of support services to the team and patients. S/He participates as a member of the team in a manner that reflects the Hospital philosophy and mission of service and promotes and maintains good public relations with patients, visitors and Hospital staff. The Patient Services Partner working in the D4ICU will be required to assist with patient care and the decontamination of patient care areas and equipment.Qualifications/SkillsPSW Certificate or completed the Sunnybrook PSP (formerly PSA) course requiredMinimum Grade 11 or equivalent as recognized by the Province of Ontario Ministry of EducationInfection Prevention and Control Certificate requiredAbility to read and write EnglishTwo (2)
years of related health care experiencePrevious D4ICU experience an assetRecent PSP experience required, critical care setting preferredMust be accustomed to high patient acuityExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProven ability to work under pressure and to handle various tasks within a limited time frameFlexibility and willingness to take directionMust have attended WHMIS trainingMust be prepared and able to use all personal protective equipmentLiaises with patients and visitors on a regular basis demonstrating excellent customer service
