Shape lives as an Overnight Youth Care Worker, providing guidance and support to urban Indigenous youth. This full-time role offers mentorship and supervision in a secure environment.
The Overnight Youth Care Worker position requires individuals skilled in relationship building and trauma-informed care. You will mentor youth in developing independent living skills while advocating for their needs and ensuring a safe atmosphere. This role also includes responsibilities like documentation, resource referral, and maintaining a clean workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise youth to ensure their safety at all times
• Mentor youth to develop independent living skills
• Advocate for youth and provide necessary resources
• Maintain cleanliness in working environment
• Ensure accurate documentation of all activities
Requirements:
• Education in Child and Youth Care preferred
• Experience in Indigenous community settings
• Understanding of trauma-informed approaches
• Effective relational and problem-solving skills
• Valid CPR/First Aid Certification and Driver's License
