As a Bus Driver in Cranbrook, you’ll provide safe, reliable, transportation to cover sick days, leave of absences and holidays. You will be trained on different routes/services, like HandyDART, flex and health connections.This is a full-time temp relief position upon return from incumbent covering an indefinite leave, with strong potential for permanent employment based on operational needs.This role is more than just driving — it's about supporting independence, offering compassion, and ensuring every passenger feels valued. and securing mobility aidsConduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle cleanlinessOperate a two-way radio and manage fares accuratelyMaintain a secure and harassment-free environment for everyoneReport any incidents, vehicle defects, or passenger safety concernsFuel, wash, and check fluid levels of the vehiclePerform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle as required by Provincial legislation and record any minor vehicle defects onto the vehicle dailyWhat We’re Looking For:Valid Driver's License - minimum of Class 2Ability to pass the required enhanced criminal record check, and drug & alcohol testProvide a clean driver's abstractAbility to work independently and interact politely with the public and staffPhysically able to perform all job dutiesBonus Points if You Have:Previous taxi or shuttle driving experienceClass 1 or 2Q licenseWhat We Offer:Wage:$ 33.16 per/hour for Conventional Bus$27.73/hour for Light-Duty BusTraining Rates (up to 2 weeks): $23.21 per/hour for Conventional and $19.41/hour for Light-Duty BusUnion: CUPE Local 2087 with benefits after probation#J-18808-Ljbffr
