Salary Range: $100,000 - $135,000 (based on experience)Our client, a well-established Canadian engineering consultancy with a strong presence across Western Canada, is seeking an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join their Abbotsford office. This firm provides integrated geotechnical, environmental, and materials engineering services to public and private sector clients across infrastructure, transportation, land development, resource, and industrial sectors.This is an excellent prospect for an engineer who is looking to take ownership of projects while continuing to grow technically and professionally within a collaborative and supportive environment.The RoleAs an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and delivering geotechnical projects from proposal stage through to completion. The position is primarily office-based, with periodic field involvement depending on project needs.Key responsibilities include:Managing geotechnical investigations and studiesPreparing proposals, scopes of work, and fee estimatesAuthoring technical reports and client deliverablesOverseeing and participating in drilling programs, instrumentation, and construction monitoringConducting field reviews and forensic investigationsPerforming geotechnical analyses including slope stability,
settlement, stress/deformation modelling, and foundation designSupporting cost control, scheduling, and resource planningMentoring junior engineers and technical staffBuilding and maintaining strong client relationshipsOccasional travel to project sites and regional offices as requiredQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil or Geological Engineering5+ years of relevant geotechnical consulting experience (Canadian experience strongly preferred)Graduate degree (M.Eng., M.Sc., Ph.D.) considered an assetDemonstrated experience in foundation design and analysis is an assetEligibility for registration withEngineers and Geoscientists British ColumbiaStrong technical writing and communication skillsProficiency with common geotechnical analysis softwareValid Class 5 driver's license and willingness to work in field environments when requiredAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyWhat's on OfferA collaborative, team-oriented culture with access to senior technical leadersClear career progression pathwaysFinancial support for professional development and continuing educationCompetitive compensation packageComprehensive health and dental benefits#J-18808-Ljbffr
