May require working out of town 60‑80% of the time and occasional night shifts.ResponsibilitiesLearn and follow company processes to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.Understand job hazards and maintain proper awareness of surroundings.Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections.Keep accurate driver logs using an Electronic Logging Device (ELD or eLog).Execute and maintain temporary traffic accommodations (signs, arrowboards, barricades, traffic cones).Perform flag‑person tasks as needed.Assist operators, lead hand,



and foreman with their duties.Other duties as directed by a supervisor.Comply with the company’s Drug and Alcohol Policy and safety regulations.RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED (asset).Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a recent commercial driver’s abstract.Reliable transportation; public transit not available in Acheson.English reading, writing, and communication skills.Manual labour ability (lift up to 40kg / 90lbs).Willingness to work out of town up to two weeks at a time (AB, BC, SK, YT, NWT & MB).Willingness to work occasional night shifts.Construction experience is an asset but not required.Experience with safety regulations and safe practices is an asset.Ability to work in uncertain outdoor conditions.Ability to work overtime hours.Work ScheduleThe typical schedule is 12 days on and 2 days off each week, following the National Safety Code and Hours of Service Regulations, which allow for up to 70 hours of work in a 7‑day cycle.BenefitsSalary starting at $20 per hour, paid weekly.Regular overtime hours and night shift premium.Per‑diem paid and hotel accommodations booked and paid when working outside the Edmonton area.Group health benefits (dental, vision, medical, disability, life) after a 90‑day probationary period.Group Registered Pension Plan (RPP) after 90 days.Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Annual boot allowance.Safety training provided; no experience necessary.Opportunity to travel across Western Canada with paid travel time.#J-18808-Ljbffr
