Your technical skills will directly shape sustainable, high-impact outcomes. You 'll tackle meaningful structural analysis and design challenges, lead investigations and inspections that inform practical solutions, and produce clear technical documentation while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. With mentorship from senior engineers and exposure to diverse, complex projects, this role offers rapid professional growth, the chance to enhance engineering solutions for harsh marine environments, and the satisfaction of delivering work that truly matters.Role accountabilitiesIn this role, you will deliver technical assignments of increasing complexity within a defined scope, working under the guidance of senior engineers. You will support structural analysis and design for a variety of civil and marine infrastructure projects, including ports and waterfront structures. Your responsibilities will include performing engineering investigations, inspections, and analytical studies to develop practical, reliable design solutions that consider durability, constructability, and performance in challenging marine and coastal environments.You will prepare clear and accurate technical documentation and reports that comply with Arcadis procedures and relevant codes and standards. As an integral member of project teams, you will complete assigned tasks to meet project scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets. You will also coordinate effectively with Project Managers, Team Leads, clients,
and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and successful delivery.Collaboration will be key in this role, as you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to maintain design integrity and achieve integrated project outcomes. You will assist in resolving technical challenges and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering solutions. Additionally, you will review completed work for technical accuracy, consistency, and compliance with standards to uphold Arcadis’s commitment to quality.To strengthen your professional credibility and enhance client engagement, you will build a deep understanding of Arcadis services, client operations, and the ports and marine sector. You will work independently on assigned tasks within defined decision-making limits and provide technical support and informal guidance to junior team members, demonstrating sound engineering judgment throughout your work.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (required); Master’s in Structural,Civil, or Marine Engineering strongly preferredEngineer-in-Training (EIT) designation required or actively pursuing; chartered/PE status is an assetMinimum 2 years of relevant structural engineering experience, with exposure to civil and marine infrastructure projectsDemonstrated experience in structural analysis and design for ports, waterfronts, or coastal structuresProficiency with industry-standard structural software such as SAP2000, ETABS, and SAFEStrong CAD skills (advanced 2D); experience with 3D modelling or Revit is an advantageSolid understanding of material performance and durability in aggressive coastal and marine environments, and knowledge of applicable national codes and standardsProven ability to prepare clear,
accurate technical reports and engineering documentation in compliance with firm proceduresExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with investigations, inspections, and analytical studies to inform design decisions; MATLAB programming is aplusEffective verbal and written communication, solid teamwork and stakeholder coordination skills, time management, and the ability to work independently while providing informal guidance to junior staffWhy Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position.
