Volleyball Prince Edward Island (VPEI)Location: Charlottetown, PEReports to: Volleyball PEI Board of DirectorsAbout Volleyball Prince Edward IslandVolleyball PEI is the recognized Provincial Sport Organization responsible for the governance, development, promotion, and delivery of indoor and beach volleyball across Prince Edward Island. We work collaboratively with athletes, clubs, coaches, volunteers, Sport PEI, and Volleyball Canada to support lifelong participation, athlete development, coach education, and excellence in performance.The OpportunityVolleyball PEI is seeking a dynamic, values-driven Executive & Technical Director (ED/TD) to provide strategic, technical, and operational leadership for the organization. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED/TD will lead the growth and development of volleyball across the province while ensuring strong governance, sustainable operations, and high‑quality programming at all levels.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic & Organizational LeadershipLead the implementation and achievement of VPEI’s strategic planProvide day‑to‑day leadership and management of organizational operationsAdvise and support the Board of Directors on policy, planning, governance, and riskPrepare materials for Board meetings and participate as a non‑voting resourceSupport planning and delivery of the Annual General MeetingTechnical & Program LeadershipPlan, develop, and deliver provincial performance programming (indoor and beach), including:Provincial Excellence Programming (PEP)Summer provincial programsCoordination of VPEI day camps (seasonal)Sport science integrationSupport and strengthen the club volleyball system across PEIOversee NCCP delivery in collaboration with Volleyball Canada,



Sport PEI Coaching, and the Coaches Association of CanadaDesign and deliver professional development opportunities for coachesAssist the Referee Committee with training and development opportunitiesFoster strong relationships with coaches, officials, athletes, and clubsDevelop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with the BoardEnsure prudent management of financial and physical resourcesSeek and secure funding opportunities, including grants, sponsorships, and partnershipsOversee hiring and supervision of staff and seasonal internsEnsure accountability, reporting, and compliance with stakeholder requirementsStakeholder Relations & PromotionMaintain strong working relationships with Sport PEI, Volleyball Canada, government partners, and other PSOsPromote volleyball and VPEI programs through digital platforms and traditional mediaRespond to inquiries from members, stakeholders, and the publicQualifications & ExperiencePost‑secondary degree or diploma in Sport Management, Physical Education, Kinesiology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Demonstrated leadership experience in sport management or administrationHigh‑performance technical and tactical knowledge of volleyballFamiliarity with the Long‑Term Athlete Development (LTAD)



modelExperience with financial management and budget preparationStrong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsPlaying and/or coaching experience at the university/college level or higher is an assetPlaying and/or coaching experience in beach volleyball considered an assetSuccessful completion of Criminal Records with and Vulnerable Sector CheckTermFull‑time, two (2)‑year contract with potential for renewalCompensation packageSalary: $60,000–$70,000 annually (commensurate with experience)Paid vacation & sick leaveHealth BenefitsRRSP match program (*after probationary period)Laptop & cellphone providedHours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.M.– 4:30 p.M.In office is expected for training and transition period.
