As the Most Responsible Provider (MRP), the NP-MRP carries full responsibility for autonomously assessing, diagnosing, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, initiating treatment plans, prescribing medications, and discharging patients within their legislated scope of practice. The NP-MRP holds full responsibility for coordinating and managing patients’ care, ensuring timely transitions, and facilitating appropriate follow-up.
