Part-time Educational Assistant (0.5 FTE)

Calvin Christian School – Collegiate Campus is accepting applications for a part-time Educational Assistant (0.5 FTE). Educational Assistants work as team members with student services staff and classroom teachers to enable students with a variety of learning needs to experience success in the school community. Areas of responsibility will include working in a classroom while supporting multiple students or working with students who need one-on-one support. Employment prospect begins as soon as possible.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

- Education Assistant Certificate (or equivalent)
- Previous experience working in a learning environment with youth with learning challenges and/or social-emotional needs
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate and/or WEVAS Certificate (Working Effectively with Violent and Aggressive Students), (or willingness to work towards this)




- All applicants should have compassion and patience for students who face learning challenges and must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues to support student learning.
- Applicants must have an active Christian faith that shapes their life.
- Applicants must have a High School Diploma
- Preference will be given to candidates with EAL training

Prior to hiring, the successful applicant will be required to provide a Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check. A pastoral reference will also be required.
