About Our ClientOur client is a well‐established, professional organization in Surrey seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide temporary administrative support. This is a great opportunity for a highly organized professional who is comfortable working in a rapid‐paced, deadline‐oriented environment and supporting a variety of administrative and member‐facing activities.Location: Surrey, BCPosition Type: TemporaryDuration: ASAP to November 13, 2026, with possibility of extensionHours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PMCompensation: $30–$35 per hourResponsibilitiesRespond to general inquiries and provide professional administrative supportProvide excellent customer and member serviceAssist with the coordination and administration of events, workshops, and meetingsPrepare and distribute mass communications using Mailchimp and OutlookUpdate and maintain website content using WordPressCreate and edit materials using Adobe Creative Cloud/IllustratorManage event‐related information through EventbritePerform general administrative tasks, including document preparation, data entry, correspondence,
and record maintenanceUse Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for day‐to‐day administrative activitiesMaintain accurate records and ensure a high level of attention to detailHandle confidential information appropriatelySupport multiple priorities and deadlines while working independently and as part of a teamProvide additional administrative support as requiredQualificationsMinimum 3 years of related administrative experienceStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google WorkspaceHands‐on experience with WordPress, Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Cloud/Illustrator, and EventbriteStrong written and verbal English communication skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyHighly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage competing deadlinesStrong customer service and problem‐solving skillsProfessional, welcoming, and service‐oriented approachExcellent time management and organizational skillsAbility to work independently while contributing effectively to a teamComfortable working in a fast‐paced, deadline‐driven environmentAbility to handle confidential information with discretionProfessionalism, integrity, flexibility, and a positive can‐do attitudePrevious experience working in a unionized environment is an asset
