You'll supervise crews and subcontractors, keep projects on schedule, and make sure all work meets our quality and safety standards.ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate construction and renovation activities and projectsSupervise a team of 5-10 peopleOrganize daily work assignments and coordinate and schedule workers and subcontractorsInspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with project requirementsRead blueprints, drawings, specifications and project instructionsRequisition and order materials, tools, equipment and suppliesTrain workers or arrange for trainingLead and instruct crew membersSupervise bricklayers, tilesetters, glaziers, painters and decorators, drywall installers and finishers, and roofersAssist with and supervise work involving drywall, painting, tiling, masonry, roofing, insulation, glazing and general renovationEnsure health and safety regulations are followed and maintain a safe, organized work siteCommunicate with clients, contractors and team membersQualifications2 to 3 years of experience in construction, renovation or related tradesExperience supervising or coordinating construction workersSecondary (high) school graduation certificateKnowledge of construction methods, materials and workplace safetyValid driver's licenceMust be bondableMust supply own steel-toed safety bootsTrade experience in painting, drywall, tiling, masonry, roofing, glazing or insulation is an assetPersonal suitabilityExcellent oral communicationOrganizedReliableTeam playerAble to work under pressureAble to work independently and as part of a teamWork environmentOutdoors, noisy and dusty construction sites, including construction, inspection and repair work.10 days of vacation per year (4% vacation pay)Language of work: EnglishWe thank all applicants for their interest.
