The program coordinator stays in close communication with our client groups to design, plan, prepare and manage the outdoor education programming at Strathcona Park Lodge and ensures quality program delivery.Candidate Attributes: You believe in the value of experiential education and have the ability to deepen this belief in our program instructors. mission and values in your work and as a community member.Responsibilities - completed in collaboration with Managers within the Program Team:Email and phone correspondence with group leaders/organizersWriting weekly activity schedules for groupsPlanning and communicating the logistics for each group (meal numbers, invoicing, updating forms, floor plans, etc)Collecting and communicating medical informationCommercial land-use reportingTransportation scheduling, driving groups to program locationsAssist with instructor training, mentoring and shadowingLead outdoor programs as requiredSummer programs planning/developmentConduct meetings with instructors and clientsRepresent schools and groups in management meetings and on skilled and community issuesQualifications/Competencies:Current 80+ hour Wilderness First Aid certificateCPR C (mandatory minimum, must be current for the duration of employment)Driver's license and clean driver's abstractCertification or diploma/degree in a related disciplineOutdoor education and/or adventure tourism experienceExcellent interpersonal and communication skills including written and verbalProficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace programs, and email and internet applicationsProblem solving, multi-tasking, team building, ethicsFluency in French is an assetReports to: Managing DirectorWe are open to applicants from indigenous communities and newcomers to Canada with a valid work permit.Conditions:Successful completion of criminal record check and legal entitlement to work in Canada.
