We are seeking an Automation Engineer to support and optimize automated production systems in a high-volume manufacturing workplace. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with Allen‑Bradley or Siemens PLC programming/troubleshooting and a strong background in robotic welding systems. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving automated equipment to enhance productivity, quality, and uptime.Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC systems (Allen‑Bradley or Siemens).Develop and improve robotic welding processes (ABB/Motoman/Fanuc).Diagnose and resolve automation‑related downtime and performance issues.Collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to implement process improvements.Design, modify, and document control system logic and HMI interfaces.Support new equipment installation, commissioning, and system integration.Ensure all automation systems meet safety and compliance standards.Mandatory Requirements:Engineering Diploma or DegreePLC programming/troubleshooting experienceRobot experience (Motoman/Fanuc/ABB)Location -Woodstock, ONSalary Range:$90k - $100k + paid OT, benefits,
