We’re looking for a System Commissioning Technician to perform assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools, troubleshoot HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control problems, and respond to basic warranty calls.ResponsibilitiesPerform assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools.Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control problems.Respond to basic warranty calls.Load system-level controller software.Perform basic commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (e.G., sensors, actuators) and complete all required commissioning documentation.Keep management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues.Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment.Complete administrative tasks including but not limited to timesheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.Document changes and provide information for as-built documentation.Communicate with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site.Follow all safety standards and attend required safety training.Maintain a high degree of regard for employee and subcontractor safety.QualificationsDemonstrated technical aptitude and ability to use hand tools (e.G., screwdrivers, wrenches,
wire strippers).Strong computer skills.Attention to detail.Effective communication and listening skills.Willingness to travel in the Kingston/Belleville region, with occasional out-of-town expectations.Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.Preferred: Two years of experience installing electronic and/or mechanical systems.Preferred: Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems.Compensation and BenefitsHourly range: $24.10–$33.32 (based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and alignment with market data).
