The Assistant Store Manager leads a collaborative leadership team with the main objective of driving the store's overall success. This includes working with the Store Manager to ensure business growth and success while supporting the front end operations and overall business goals.Customer Experience: Deliver an exceptional shopping environment with strong merchandising and in-stock standards, resolving customer concerns effectively, and collaborating across department teams to increase engagement and sales.Financial Performance: Manage store sales, gross margin, payroll, and inventory controls, with the Store Manager and Department Managers to identify growth opportunities, reduce shrink, and maximize profitability.Operational Excellence: Optimize operations through effective scheduling, cash handling, inventory management, and consistent execution of procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy.People Leadership: Lead, develop, and hold team members accountable by fostering a high-performance culture, supporting training and coaching, and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.Who We AreThe Root Cellar sprouted from a deep passion for fresh, local food and sustainable food systems.
